Tender opened for assessing Baltic Sea Maritime Spatial Planning Framework

VASAB secretariat has opened a public tender for qualified expertise on assessing the application of Baltic Sea Common Regional Maritime Spatial Planning Framework. Assessment is being done as part of the Pan Baltic Scope project and is designed to directly support HELCOM-VASAB MSP WG in implementing their work plan until 2019.

As part of the Assessment Baltic Sea Broad-Scale Maritimes Spatial Planning Principles and Guidelines on transboundary consultations, public participation and co-operation as well as achievements of regional targets of the Regional Baltic Maritime Spatial Planning Roadmap 2013-2020 will be evaluated.

Experts will have to evaluate how successful have countries been in applying the MSP Principles, Guidelines on Transboundary Consultation and MSP Roadmap and why have they`ve been implemented in a particular way. To successfully assess the framework workshops, interviews and survey have to be carried out.

Pan Baltic Scope aims for coherent maritime spatial plans in Baltic Sea and to build lasting macro-region mechanisms for cross-border MSP cooperation. Pan Baltic partnership is built of 12 organisations representing national authorities responsible for MSP and relevant macro-regional organizations. VASAB is responsible for the Follow-up on Common Regional Framework.

Applicants should submit their tenders by 18th of July, 2018.
