Final regional workshop “Accessibility Needs Along and Beyond the Core Corridors”
On March 14 in Vaasa, Finland, VASAB Secretariat is organizing a regional workshop on accessibility needs along the North Sea-Baltic TEN-T corridor in the Northern Baltic Sea Region. The 6th and the final regional workshop of the project NSB CoRe is organized during the E12 Atlantica Transport final conference “A Borderless Future!”.
The NSB CoRe project financed by Interreg Baltic Sea Region Programme is a EUSBSR transport flagship that aims to improve the internal and external accessibility of the regions along the North Sea-Baltic Corridor. Project’s Spatial Planning work package is led by VASAB Secretariat and within it a joint transnational spatial vision of regional development, logistics and mobility of the NSB CoRe network as well as regional case studies on how to connect second level transport networks with the core corridor are developed.
In the development process of the spatial vision multiple workshops are organized to involve relevant stakeholders and discuss needs for improved accessibility. Workshop in the E12 conference is organized by VASAB Secretariat and will be already the 6th workshop to bring together transport and spatial planners who are interested in the process of North Sea – Baltic corridor development.
Workshop “Accessibility Needs Along and Beyond the Core Corridors” will take place on Wednesday, March 14, 16:00-18:00 in the premises of Bock’s Corner, Gerbyntie 18, Vaasa, Finland. Local, regional and national authorities on spatial and transport planning are invited to join a discussion, have an input in shaping the contents of the spatial vision, share their expertise and deepened knowledge about North Sea-Baltic corridor in the Northern Baltic Sea Region.
