High Interest in VASAB Young Planners’ Summer School – Applications Continue for Denmark, Norway, and Ukraine

The VASAB Young Planners’ Summer School “Navigate Planning Through Changes” application round has received notably high level of interest, confirming strong engagement among young professionals across the Baltic Sea Region.

In total, 49 applications have been submitted from young professionals across the Baltic Sea Region countries, demonstrating high enthusiasm in contributing to the sustainable development and resilience of the Baltic Sea Region.

Currently, the organisers are in the process of evaluating applications and selecting participants. The results are expected to be announced to the applicants in May 2026.

 

Applications are still open for participants from Denmark, Norway, and Ukraine

At the same time, to broaden the geographical scope and strengthen discussions on key regional challenges, applications are still open for participants from Denmark, Norway, and Ukraine. Interested participants from these countries are encouraged to apply by 10 May 2026. VASAB Young Planners’ Summer School is an international contest and collaborative learning event for young professionals working or studying across a broad range of topics related to geography, spatial planning, and regional studies. It engages young professionals in shaping the future of the Baltic Sea Region, providing an opportunity to build a network of next-generation planners, make new contacts, and connect with the spatial planning community. This year the Summer School is organised in cooperation with Gdańsk University of Technology and will be held on 23–29 August 2026, in Gdańsk, Poland.
