VASAB and HELCOM as a EUSBSR Horizontal Action “Spatial Planning” coordinators have received a technical assistance grant for the new HASPS 3 project. Starting from September 2018 project will continue the work of the previous HASPS and HASPS-2 projects. Grant is financed by the European Union through the Interreg Baltic Sea Region Programme 2014-2020.

The grant aims to support the VASAB and HELCOM work in coordination and implementation of activities within the HA “Spatial Planning” of the EUSBSR Action Plan. Building on the previous HASPS and HASPS-2 projects, the HASPS-3 will strengthen the coordination of HA`s strategic management, support the implementation of the Regional Baltic MSP Roadmap and EU MSP Directive (2014/89/EU) (particularly the coordination of BSR MSP Data Expert Sub-group), strengthen the HA`s outreach and integration to other regional and European activities, as well as promote the Flagships in meeting policy needs. The project implementation is planned from September 2018 until September 2020.
