Glücksburg, Germany Save the Date! Future Cities Forum 2026
The first Future Cities Forum taking place on 17 November 2026 invites local authorities and urban practitioners from across the Baltic Sea Region working in culture, public engagement, urban development and the (re-)activation of urban spaces to Glücksburg, Germany, (Cultural Pearl 2026) to exchange experiences and explore ways to engage communities in shaping more liveable and resilient cities.
The forum is organised by the Future Cities Platform, which is funded by Interreg Baltic Sea Region (Operation of Strategic Importance, 2026–2028) in collaboration with the Ministry of European Affairs in Schleswig-Holstein. It consolidates the networks and results of 12 projects to strengthen urban resilience through civic engagement and public space activation.
The forum will focus on practical networking, inspiration, and exchange, while providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to the work of the platform.
