Discussion on the ESPON project ‘European and Macro-regional Territorial Monitoring Tool’
About event
Discussion on the ESPON project ‘European and Macro-regional Territorial Monitoring Tool’ will be held on Thursday 6th September 2018 (9:00-11:30) in Liepaja, Latvia in the premises of Concert Hall “Lielais Dzintars” (Radio iela 8, Liepaja).
The project is aimed at developing a web tool that provides territorial evidence to stakeholders and policymakers in Europe and in particular on the Baltic Sea, Danube, Alpine and Adriatic-Ionian macro-regions on key development trends over time and on the progress, implementation and contribution of policy objectives as defined in the EU macro-regional strategies. We are interested in fruitful discussion by having all qualified stakeholders and researchers on board. The meeting will be led by the selected service provider – MCRIT SL as well as DG Regio, VASAB and the ESPON EGTC. We are interested in getting feedback for the development of the indicators and monitoring tool for the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region from a user point of view.
The Discussion of the ESPON project will be followed by VASAB workshop “Smart urban governance in times of transition. Resilience of small and medium cities in the Baltic Sea Region” taking place the same day and venue from 12:00-17:00.
