About event

Seminar ‘Baltic Sea Cooperation for Climate Resilience and Urban Floods’, to be held on 15-17 October in Helsinki (Finland).

The goal of the Seminar is to share best practices and strengthen cooperation between cities within the Baltic Sea Region and beyond, to improve their climate resilience and preparedness for urban floods. The seminar will be accompanied by:

1) half day final seminar of the Chinese – Finnish cooperation project UrbanStormWaterRisk and

2) Workshop about Urban Stormwater Management and progress of EU Floods Directive implementation organized by EU Working Group on Floods.

 

Registration will be opened in the middle of September.

In addition, we would like to welcome proposals and experiences from your countries on the questions relevant to the seminars and workshop, in order to make the best use of the capacity already existing in the region. In the enclosed draft programme you will find highlighted in yellow the topics and sessions where your proposals are welcome.

We kindly ask you to send your suggestions of potential speakers to olga.zuin@cbss.org and to olli-matti.verta@mmm.fi by Friday 13th September. The costs for travel and accommodation of invited speakers will be covered by the seminar organizers.
