Synthesis Workshop: Nature Conservation and Maritime Spatial Planning – Let’s Talk a Common Language!
About event
Northern European Sea basins project (NESBp) is organising a synthesis workshop focusing on nature conservation and maritime spatial planning. Event will take place on 30-31 March 2026 in Gdansk, Poland. It is primarily expected as an in-person participation. Limited online participation will be available where feasible.
In this pre-Easter event, NESB project invites you to come together and exchange views on the following topics:
- Let’s talk a common language. Common living terminological platform for the North and Baltic Seas and beyond;
- Development without damage. How MSP can support nature conservation and restoration, and mitigate potential impacts?
- Joint effort to reduce joint pressure. Cumulative Impact Assessment in strategic planning – perspectives, boundary conditions and uncertainties
The workshop is organised with anticipated support from EUSBSR Policy Area Spatial Planning, HELCOM-VASAB MSP Working Group, GNSBI,North Seas MSP Collaboration Group. Contributions are expected from ongoing and related projects, including MEDIGREEN, Protect Baltic, SEABAS, ReMAP, and HELCOM HOLAS, among others.
