Launching New Land-based Planners’ Forum to Strengthen Exchange and Cooperation Across the Baltic Sea Region.

The 5th Baltic MSP Forum “Navigate Planning Through Changes!” took place on 11–12 November 2025 in Riga, Latvia. This Forum was organized together with the Baltic Sea2Land project, serving as its final conference, and broadening the scope to strengthen linkages between maritime spatial planning (MSP) and coastal zone planning.

Northern European Sea Basins project (NESBp) achievements June - December 2025. Over the past months, NESBp Work Package 5 "Knowledge Sharing and Transfer" has continued to strengthen the informational foundations of MSP by advancing the DIK(W) (Data-Information-Knowledge-Wisdom) approach, transforming data into information, and information into usable knowledge.

Northern European Sea Basins project's (NESBp) Work Package on Energy Transition and Biodiversity in Maritime Spatial Planning made significant progress during the second half of year 2025. Key advancements included the further development of a common terminological glossary, the initiation of a comprehensive catalogue of mitigation measures, and substantial steps forward in advancing cumulative impact assessment at sea-basin level.
