Importance of projects

Policy area “Spatial Planning” follows up on spatial planning projects of macro-regional relevance. Projects are a valuable instrument to implement EUSBSR and strategic policy framework of the  Policy area. This section comprises projects that have a macro-regional impact and develop joint initiatives involving partnership from different countries. These projects demonstrate the progress of the EUSBSR and may serve as pilot examples for desired action. In addition, projects enable wider stakeholders’ engagement in the work of Policy area.

Besides following already established projects and initiatives, Policy area “Spatial Planning” identifies project needs and ideas relevant for the implementation of the EUSBSR Action Plan.
