VASAB Long-Term Perspective for the Territorial Development of the Baltic Sea Region (LTP) was adopted by the Ministers responsible for spatial planning and development of BSR countries in October 2009 in Vilnius. Concerning the arise of new challenges and trends, the VASAB Committee on Spatial Planning and Development of the Baltic Sea Region has decided to update the LTP. In this regard an Open Tendering Procedure for the update of the VASAB Long-Term Perspective has been announced.

Current VASAB LTP highlights territorial development trends and challenges, presents territorial cohesion perspective for the BSR in 2030, as well as proposes concrete actions to stimulate territorial development potentials to overcome existing gaps and divides in the BSR. LTP strengthens the territorial dimension of policies in the BSR and stimulates cross-sectoral dialogue. It serves as an international reference framework of VASAB activities towards international and macro-regional policies and initiatives in urban networking and urban-rural cooperation, accessibility of transport, energy and communications, as well as maritime spatial planning (MSP). Moreover, it has been used for further development of territorial monitoring systems at the BSR and national levels.

To update the LTP, an open Tendering Procedure has been announced – find regulation here. Tenders should be submitted within the Latvian EIS e-tender subsystem by the morning of 28th December 2020.

Interested applicants should register as a participant of the e-procurement system. Usually the registration takes up to 3 days, two registration blanks should be filled out and submitted. Without this registration participation in the tender and access to the documentation package for submission to the Open Tendering procedure is not possible.
